Lian Li Industrial Co. Ltd has launched the PC-A05N Mini-Tower chassis. The all aluminum design features an innovative front mounted power supply (PSU) bay that enables the unique shorter and smaller profile. This is the ideal chassis for those seeking a conveniently sized unit that can comfortably contain leading edge hardware. The beautifully crafted chassis has the traditional Lian Li brushed aluminum finish while the dimensions stand at 210mm x 381mm x 490mm (W,H,D), featuring all the functional and user friendly design aspects users have come to expect in a Lian Li case.
Thermal features
With the unconventional position of the PSU, the flow of air is now enhanced. Instead of following the traditional airflow from front to back, Lian Li engineers have optimized the flow in the opposite direction. The air is drawn in from the rear 12cm fan and is extracted both through the front 12cm system fan as well as through the PSU extraction fan to be expelled through side vents in the front panel.
Special features
The front mounted ATX PSU fits snugly at the front lower section of the chassis with the power plug still situated at the rear of the case. The chassis supports 2x 5.25" Optical drive bays with 1x 3.5" external and 3 additional internal bays in an anti-vibration cage. Each HDD is mounted with anti-vibration grommets to reduce noise from HDD vibrations. The case is for Micro-ATX or ATX motherboards and has 7 PCI slots, which are well ventilated with special vented brackets. The case is able to support long graphics cards for all your high-end hardware requirements. The multimedia I/O ports on the top panel consist of 2x USB2.0, 1x IEEE1394, as well as HD+AC97 Audio.
Traditional Durability
The classical stylish functional design is the Lian Li goal. The essence of Lian Li products is the craftsmanship of the engineering. Intrinsic to the workmanship and quality is the customization which includes a whole host of optional extras that can be purchased to add more features to an already feature rich product.

I have the original PC-A05B and this case freaking rocks, it's awesome to see them improving the case, makes me want another one.
:D
:D
Looking sweet.. revert cases are great cuz the hot air from the GPUs rise and so the GPU is cooler
Yeah. Pretty nice reverse. Too bad is mid-tower only though.
I briefly had the original PC-A05B, it is a fantastic case... I dont see/remember it being different compared to this one except for the plastic cdrom clasps.
Edit: Oh yes I remember... A nice dust filter for the intake would have been +1

Hmm, that's.. ..genious. With modular PSU that'll be a cute case. Might need a top fan mod if you stick something hot in there.
edit: oh, missed the front fan and it has a grill on the top rear, so should be fine. If I had a 2nd computer, I'd want this case (but seeing it's a Lian Li, it's probably cost an arm). That could even go as a HTPC case.

No, I DONT LIKE REVERSED fan.
1./ There is more dust BEHIND my desk than in front. Therefore air should be drawn from front (clean) rather than from back (dirty).
2./ I dont want a smelly (dusty) draught from the PC coming out the front! Ladies in the office will not like their ankles being blown on. At home maybe, but not in the office ;)
However, for low power, passive cooled PC this case is very nice.

Not bad.
What I'd really like to see a mid-tower join the A17 and A77 series/style of cases.

looking at the front picture... it dosent appear to have much ventilation besides the small holes around the outer of the case front.... so you blowing loads of air into the case, and not getting much leaking out the front.... I dont like the design personally
by: lemonadesoda;1172535I would just do something crazy like making that rear fan an exhaust!

eh, ill still take a thermatake over that any day, looks too bland for my likings
i like it because u can make a killer rig in a small case ;)
